Ian Sacred Slam Koebner

Born in the Bronx, and currently living in Boston, Ian Koebner is a poet, zen practitioner and strong supporter of simplicity. He is the Founding Director of Sacred Slam, a not-for-profit organization committed to challenging misconceptions through the arts. Since 2002, Sacred Slam has been organizing events and trainings to peacefully resolve conflict, and promote respect for diversity through the arts and education. Currently, Ian is working with interfaith youth in South Africa, Northern Ireland, Israel, the Palestinian Territories, and the United States to create works of art based on their personal experiences with 'war' and 'peace.'
